NEET PG 2024 Result: In order to attain fair comparisons of both shifts, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has decided to adopt a normalisation process for NEET PG 2024 examination.Β
NBE has issued a notice ahead of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) stating the adoption of the NEET PG 2024 normalisation process. The notice states that the board has adopted the process which is currently being considered by AIIMS New Delhi for multiple shift examinations such as INI CET. The NEET PG 2024 result will be prepared based on the normalisation scores of the candidates.Β
NEET PG 2024 Normalisation ProcessΒ
NBEMS has referred to AIIMS Delhi notice stating the percentile score as normalised scores for the examination.Β
The percentile score is the percentage of students having 'equal to or below' scores in that particular percentile in the examination. For reference, the NEET PG 2024 topper from both shifts will get 100 percentile as a result of the percentile process. The marks secured between the highest and lowest scores will be converted into percentiles.Β
Further, the percentile scores will be calculated up to 7 decimals to avoid ties between students.Β
βIn this method of scoring, the HIGHEST SCORE in each paper (irrespective of the raw scores/percentage obtained) will be the 100 Percentile indicating that 100% of candidates have scored equal to or lesser than the highest scorer/ topper for that shift,β the notice added.
