Following NEET PG 2022 result announcement, scorecard has been issued on June 8.  NEET PG 2022 scorecard has been uploaded on the official website of NBE. Candidates will have to enter application number and password to download the scorecard for NEET PG 2022. NEET PG 2022 scorecard comprises details such as name of candidate, category, roll number, marks out of total, rank etc.

NEET PG 2022 result was announced on June 20 for candidates who appeared for the exam. NEET PG result 2022 PDF comprised roll number of candidate, marks scored and rank. Candidates have to minimum cut off marks to qualify for the exam. NEET PG 2022 cut off was also been released for each category. The qualifying cut off for general category was 50th percentile while it was 40th percentile for reserved category. The exam was held on May 21. 

NEET PG scores will be valid for admission to 9,953 MD, 10,821 MS, 1,979 PG Diploma and 1,338 DNB CET seats. A merit list for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be prepared on the basis of NEET PG result 2022. NBE will release NEET PG 2022 result cum merit list for 50% All India Quota seats on its official website. Candidates included in the merit list will be participating in the NEET PG 2022 counselling. NEET PG 2022 counselling for 50% AIQ and 50% state quota seats will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Validity of the NEET PG result 2022

The result of NEET PG 2022 is valid for only one academic session and cannot be carried forward to the next session. This implies that the NEET PG 2022 result will be valid for the academic session 2022-23 only. For admission to the next session, the candidate will have to appear for the examination next year.

Cut off score and percentile for NEET PG 2022

To qualify the examination a candidate needs to secure more than or equal to the cut toff percentile prescribed by the NBE. The cut off percentile for NEET PG result 2022 is different for candidates belonging to different categories. NEET PG cut offs can be revised by the NBE, in consent with the Medical Council of India (MCI), if the number of qualified candidates is insufficient. The table given below contains cut off percentile and marks:

NEET PG Result 2022: The Types

NBE releases two types of NEET PG result 2022 for providing admission to PG courses at medical colleges across the country. The medical colleges use scores of NEET PG 2022 for allocating different categories of seats to candidates. The two types of results of NEET PG 2022 have been explained below:

NEET PG 2022 result for 50% AIQ seats

This category of NEET PG results is for admission to 50 % All India Quota Seats. NBE releases the result in PDF format. The counselling for these seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. Admission to these seats is provided on the basis of AIQ rank, marks obtained, choices filled, reservation criteria, and availability of seats. The cut off for admission to AIQ 50% seats is the same as the minimum qualifying percentile.

NEET PG 2022 result for State quota seats

This type of result is for admission to State quota seats. The respective State authorities conduct counselling for admission to the PG courses in the state quota category. No state is allowed to conduct any other exam for allocating MD/MS/PG diploma seats. 

NEET PG 2022 Scorecard

NBE released NEET PG 2022 scorecard on June 8 for candidates who had appeared for the examination. Candidates will be able to download the scorecard of NEET PG 2022 by logging into their registered accounts on the official website of NBE. The steps to download the NEET PG 2022 score card have been given below.

Steps to Download the NEET PG Scorecard 2022?

The candidates who qualify for the examination will have the option to download the scor card for NEET PG 2022. The steps to download the NEET PG 2022 scorecard are:

  1. Go to the official website of NBE
  2. Click on 'NEET PG'
  3. Login using registration Id and password generated at the time of registration
  4. View your NEET PG scorecard 
  5. Check the details on the scorecard for errors
  6. Download and print the scorecard

  • NEET PG roll number

Candidates are advised to check the details mentioned on the scorecard of NEET PG 2022. If there is any discrepancy in the details printed on the scorecard, he/she must contact the NBE authorities immediately and get it rectified. If a candidate fails to get the errors rectified on the NEET PG result 2022, he/she may lose the chance to attend the counselling even if he/she qualifies for the examination. The details should match those printed on the documents of the candidates and his/her photo ID proof.

NEET PG Result 2022 Tie Breaker Guidelines

When preparing the merit list, the authorities often come across two candidates with equal marks in the NEET PG result. To help determine the ranks of the candidates in such cases and efficiently complete the process, NBE has placed a tie-breaker protocol in place for NEET PG 2022 result.

  • Candidates having a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position
  • Candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position
  • The older candidates will be placed at a better merit position
  • Candidates securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position

How Marks Calculated for NEET PG Result

NEET PG result has been prepared on the basis of the marking scheme. NEET PG 2022 question paper comprises 200 questions of 800 marks in the exam. The marking scheme for the calculation of the total score of the candidate is given below:

NEET PG result 2022: Types of merit lists

  • All India 50% quota rank: This is an overall merit list and denotes the merit position of the candidate amongst all those who have appeared for the entrance test, irrespective of their category. The overall merit list will include all the names of all the candidates who have appeared for the examination.
  • All India 50% quota category rank: This is a category-wise merit list and denotes the merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates from only that category (OBC/SC/ST), as opted by the candidate. This list will only include the names of those candidates who had opted for reservations under the respective category.

NEET PG 2022 Analysis

NEET PG 2022 exam was moderate difficult as per teh students who appeared in the exam. Most of the questions were clinical in nature. Lots of questions were from medicine, gyneacology segments. Overall 90 percent questions were easy while 10 percent was out of box.
