NEET PG SC hearing today will be initiated based on a petition filed by aspirants demanding transparency in marks calculation and the implementation of transparency in the examination process. The plea highlights alleged inconsistencies in NEET PG results and calls for transparency from the authorities. The outcome of the hearing is awaited by numerous aspirants across the country.

NEET PG Supreme Court Hearing

The Supreme Court of India will hear a plea seeking transparency in the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) today, i.e. May 20, 2025. The matter, earlier listed for May 15, has been postponed several times since September last year. Even though the SC Bench comprises of Chief Justice of India Gavai and Justice AG Masih highlighted that the plea concerning NEET PG 2024 irregularities now seems infructuous, the current and upcoming batch would be influnced by the outcome of the NEET PG 2024 SC verdict concerning the normalisation process, release of aswer key and paper solution and the tranparancy issue in the entrance examination.

The Apex Court bench consisting of CJI Gavai and Justice AG Masih will hear the petition of 19 NEET PG applicants, who seek the Supreme Court's verdict in NEET PG examination discrepancies, including transparency issues, normalisation process and the last-minute changes in the exam pattern.

NEET PG Should be Held in Single Shift

In the plea filed before the apex court, the NEET PG aspirants also claimed that the NEET PG exam in two shifts has affected the students adversely. The examination pattern was changed just three days before the examination, and the normalisation method was introduced in haste.

The plea further stated that there was a clear lack of transparency in the conduct of the NEET PG exam because none of the documents allowed students to check their performance, and that no question paper is released, no response sheet is made available, or answer key are also not provided to the students, only a scorecard is made available for the qualified candidates.
