NEET SS 2022 mop round: One seat removed, 6 seats added

MCC has removed one seat of NU Trust Hospital, Bangalore from the Special Mop-Up Round of NEET SS Counseling 2022-23 after the request received from the college to remove the seat. The Commission has also added six seats to the mop-up round, read here for details.

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has received information from NU Trust Hospital, Bangalore to remove one seat of DNBSS Genito Urinary Surgery (Urology) under the All India Quota (AIQ) category from the NEET SS 2022 mop-up round. Therefore, the MCC of DGHS has withdrawn the seat from the seat matrix of the Special Mop-Up Round.

MCC adds 6 seats to NEET SS 2022 mop round

MCC has also added six seats to the seat matrix yesterday as per Supreme Court's order.

The official notification reads, "Medical counselling committee, DGHS as per directions vide an order dated 13.02.2023 in WP no. 106 of 2023- Kevin Joy vs. UoI & ors. passed by Hon’ble Supreme court, wherein Hon’ble Bench has directed MCC, DGHS to include 06 seats resigned by the petitioners in Mop-up round of NEET-SS Counselling 2022-23. The relief granted by the Hon’ble Supreme Court is specific to the petitioners & Medical counselling committee, DGHS, will not entertain any other request by college or NEET- SS candidates for inclusion of seats."

The eligible candidates for NEET-SS Mop-up round 2022-23 as per notice dated February 13, 2023, may opt for these seats which include one DNBSS- Endocrinology seat in Care hospital (900294) Road No.1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana, 500034, one M.ch. Plastic & Reconstructive surgery seat in Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical college, Salem Steel Plant Road, S.Kollapatti, Tamil Nadu, 636030, one D.M. Cardiology seat in Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (900375) Office of Principal, Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, 695011, one DNBSS- Gastroenterology seat at KMC Hospital (900445) Dr B R Ambedkar Circle, Mangalore, Karnataka, 575001, an M.ch reproductive medicine & surgery seat at National institute of medical sciences & research (900518) Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur-Delhi Highway, NH-11 C, Jaipur, Rajasthan, 303121, and a D.M. Cardiology seat at Karnataka Institute of medical sciences (900435) Karnataka Institute Of Medical Sciences Vidyanagar Hubballi580021, Karnataka, 580021.
