NIS organises Workshop on Capacity Building

National Institute of Siddha has organised a "Workshop on Capacity building", it is a two-day workshop that commenced today and will conclude tomorrow August 19, 2022.

In an effort to strengthen the smart skills of its employees and PG scholars, the National Institute of Siddha (NIS) has organized a "Workshop on Capacity building" from August 18 to August 19, 2022.

The programme was ceremoniously inaugurated today with the lighting of kuthuvilakku. Dr Pratima Verma, Professor, School of Business, Alliance University, resource person of the program graced the occasion along with Prof. Dr R. Meenakumari, Director, NIS.

NIS participated in 10th AYUSH Natural World Expo this month

The institute participated in the 10th AYUSH Natural World Expo (Mega Goa World Expo) from August 4 to August 6 at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor AC Stadium, Panaji, Goa. Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways attended the Expo. Dr Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister of Goa inaugurated the event formally. 

Dr K. Suresh, Dr V. Manjari, Associate Professors and Dr A. Siva, Dr P. Carolin, Dr R. Dibesh, Dr N. Archana, PG Scholars and J. Balaji, LDC participated as the NIS stall exhibitor.

More residents from in and around Panaji city visited the stall and enquired about the Siddha system of medicine and its uniqueness. Other stall exhibitors also enthusiastically visited the NIS stall.

The institute is all set to start a degree course in the Siddha system (BSMS) from this academic year onwards after the approval from Tamil Nadu's Dr MGR Medical University.
