NISER to offer a three-year MSc in medical, radiological physics
The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar is all set to offer a three-year MSc in medical and radiological physics this year.
First time in Odisha, any institute is going to offer MSc in medical and radiological physics. The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar has begun the process to offer a three-year MSc in the subject.
NISER is a national institute which has already established the Center for Medical and Radiation Physics (CMRP) to conduct research, and other related activities in the field of medical and radiation physics and offer this course.
As per the TOI report, the course is designed based on the syllabus prescribed by the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai.
"Initially we have received approval for 10 seats for this course. Theory and practical classes will be conducted for the first two years. After this, students will go for a mandatory internship in a big hospital. We have collaborated with AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer (AHPGIC) at Cuttack and Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in Mumbai for this internship programme," said NISER Bhubaneswar director Sudhakar Panda.
NISER invites applications for Integrated MSc PhD in Biological Sciences
The School of Biological Sciences, NISER, has invited online applications for admission to the Integrated MSc-PhD Programme in Biological Sciences. The last date for online application is June 15, 2022.
The eligibility criteria to apply is the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any branch of Biology/Life Sciences or any equivalent professional degree such as BPharm/BVSc/BSc (Ag)/MBBS/BE/BTech, from a university recognized by UGC with minimum 60% marks aggregate or 6.0 CGPA. Candidates who are appearing for their final examination for Bachelor’s degree can also apply, provided they submit an undertaking that they will submit the qualifying degree certificates by the time of the interview. The candidate has to qualify for the JAM 2022 examination. The shortlisting will be based on JAM 2022 mark, followed by a test/interview for the final selection of candidates.
