NEET 2026 Re Exam Guidelines

National Testing Agency has released a fresh advisory for candidates appearing in RE-NEET UG 2026 exam on June 21. The NTA NEET exam guidelines are related to  biometric verification, dress code, permissible items and security checks at examination centres. 

All candidates will have to complete mandatory biometric verification at the exam centre. It includes, fingerprint and facial recognition before entering exam hall. The agency has also highlighted procedure to be followed in case biometric verification fails. NTA has issued instructions regarding clothing, footwear and religious attire. It also includes list of items to carry at NEET exam centre. Candidates have to follow NTA NEET 2026 exam day guidelines before and during the exam.

NTA Announces Change in RE-NEET 2026 Exam Centre

NTA has released an official notification mentioning that one exam centre, Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Centre in University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh has been changed. Students who were going to appear in this exam centre on June 21 exam day will now have to appear in the Department of Medieval and Modern History, Senate House Campus, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

RE-NEET 2026: Biometric Verification Mandatory Before Entry

NTA has mentioned that biometric verification is necessary after security check. The verification process include:

  • Fingerprint verification
  • Facial recognition verification
  • Identity authentication

What If Biometric Verification Fails?

NTA has mentioned that candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam even if the biometric verification fails in Re NEET 2026 exam. However, student will only be allowed to appear for exam in case verification fails because of:

  • Device hardware failure
  • Poor biometric quality
  • UIDAI server connectivity issues
  • Physical inability to provide biometric data

RE-NEET 2026 Dress Code and Permissible Items

Candidates must wear simple and comfortable clothing.

NEET UG 2026 Latest Update: NTA Launches Verified WhatsApp Alerts for Candidates

NTA has launched a Whatsapp channel for NEET UG 2026 re exam. The agency said latest NEET updates will be sent through its WhatsApp number with a blue verification tick. NTA has warned students against fake messages, paper leak claims, answer key scams and fraudulent messages circulating on social media platforms.
