The Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) Committee has started the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling process for MBBS and BDS admission. The registration process has started on July 22, 2025, and the last date to register is July 26, 2025, 11.59 PM. The provisional merit list will be released on July 29, 2025, followed by the final merit list on August 1, 2025.

Odisha NEET 2025 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates who are eligible for the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling, will be able to register and participate. Take a look at the eligibility criteria given below.

  • The candidates must be of 17 years of age as on 31.12.2025 and there will be no upper age limit.
  • The candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha OR Children of All India Civil Service officers serving in state of Odisha cadre.
  • Candidates must have qualified for NEET 2025 by obtaining the cutoff marks.
  • They must have studied Science in Class 11 and 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects and obtain minimum 50 per cent marks (General) and and 40 per cent (Reserved categories) in aggregate.
  • Candidates belonging outside Odisha can apply through the NRI quota.

How to Register for Odisha NEET 2025 Counselling

Candidates have to register for the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling process by following the steps below:

OJEE has mentioned, โ€œSince there is no OBC category in the State, such candidates will be considered in the General Category and the minimum qualifying marks shall be (40th percentile) in the NEET UG 2025. ii. The ST/SC candidates must produce a caste certificate from Odisha State only to get the privilege of reservation in the category in Odisha.โ€

The official website of the Odisha NEET counselling 2025 is ojee.nic.in. After visiting the website, candidates will have to navigate through the medical counselling portal wherein they will have to register, fill choices and carry out other activities. Participants of the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling will be able to download the important documents such as merit list, seat matrix, imprortant instructions on the official website.

The second round of the Odisha NEET 2025 counselling process is being conducted from September 10 to September 26, 2025. The Odisha NEET UG 2025 counselling Round 2 result was declared on September 19, 2025, but was withdrawn. The final result will be declared on September 20, 2025, at 10 PM. The institute reporting will be conducted from September 23 to September 26, 2025.

A:

Odisha NEET UG counselling process is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). OJEE conducts the counselling process for the undergraduate medical courses, MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS. It is the state counselling for the 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats of the Odisha state. Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam are eligible to participate in this state counselling. Even though OJEE is the counselling authority for Odisha NEET UG counselling, the process and rules are inclined as per the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS). Odisha NEET UG Counselling is done by a Committee consisting of OJEE Chairman, OJEE Vice-Chairman, OJEE Secretary OJEE, and three Members  (Additional Director of DMET Odisha, and two other Members).
