Punjab government has announced setting up of stadium in name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh & Nursing College.
The state government of Punjab has decided to set up a stadium in the name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh & Nursing College.
Punjab government's official tweet reads, "CM @CharanjitChanni announces the setting up of stadium in name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh & nursing college besides upgrading two existing hospitals in Baghapurana and grants for Guru Nanak College & Sports Academy. CM also announced to accord Sub Tehsil status to Samadh Bhai."
Moreover, in June this year, the Punjab government had announced that the state will set up four new government medical colleges in Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Kapurthala, and Mohali at a cost of INR 1500 crore.
Nearly INR 325 crore will be spent on Mohali medical college's infrastructure that will include labs, hostels, lecture theatres, faculty residences, academic block, library, community centre and auditorium.
Currently, there are 1,400 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) seats in Punjab and after the opening of these four medical colleges, additional 500 seats will be added.
In Punjab, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) Counselling 2021 registration process is going on for admission to MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses. The registration started on November 18 and the last date to register for the counselling is Nov 28.
NEET 2021 was held on September 12 and more than 16 lakh candidates appeared in the examination.
