Ragging horror in Uttarakhand: 7 MBBS students suspended

Srinagar Medical College in Uttarakhand has suspended as many as 7 MBBS students for their alleged involvement in a horrific ragging incident.
As per the TOI report, while ragging their juniors, these seniors had covered their faces so that they cannot be identified. The incident came to light when one of the junior's parents approached the college administration the next day and following this parent rest of the juniors came out to narrate their ordeal.
The college administration carried out a probe into this matter and as per the findings of their investigation, facts shared by the juniors came out as true. Dr Rawat said, "The matter was probed at various levels."
"We called in 30-40 juniors and took their written statements and then cross-checked their versions. The seven students in question have had disciplinary issues in the past. Some of their conversations with juniors were also collected. After connecting all the dots, the committee came out with its findings and action was taken," he added.
"This is a clear message for all students. Such activities cannot be tolerated. The new batch has just joined and anyone found harassing a junior won't be spared," said the principal.
