Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 Stray Round Counselling Result Postponed; Know Details
TN NEET PG 2024 stray vacancy round seat allotment results scheduled for February 25, 2025, have been postponed in light of the pending court order in the Dr. P. Manikandan case.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) Chennai has postponed the announcement date for Tamil Nadu NEET PG stray round result 2025. Students who have participated in the Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2024 stray vacancy round counselling process will have to further wait to know their admission status. The Stray Round results for the Postgraduate MD/MS/Diploma courses admission in Tamil Nadu state for the academic year 2024-2025 were scheduled to be announced on February 25, 2025. However, the authorities delayed the result till further notice.
TN NEET PG 2024 Stray Round Result Delayed
The delay in the announcement of the seat allotment result comes in light of the ongoing legal proceedings related to W.P. No. 6880 of 2025, filed by Dr. P. Manikandan.
The authorities will release the TN NEET PG 2024 seat allotment result for the stray vacancy round after the announcement of the court's order.
"In view of W.P.No. 6880 of 2025 filed by Dr.P.Manikandan, the court orders are awaited. Hence the results for the stray round of counselling for PG MD/MS/Diploma courses to be declared on 25.02.2025 will be published after the release of the Court order." The official notification reads.
Students who have participated in the stray round counselling process will be able to check their seat allotment results online at tnmedicalselection.net following the announcement of the court's verdict.

The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Chennai, is conducting the NEET PG Counselling for Tamil Nadu for admission to Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS)/Diploma Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges. Dr M.G.R. Medical University will administer admissions for government seats in self-financing medical colleges.
Candidates who are not domiciled in the state of Tamil Nadu and have completed their MBBS degree from an institute located in this state and apply for the counselling of Tamil Nadu NEET PG 2025 are eligible to participate in the TN NEET PG counselling. Others will not be eligible to participate in this counselling. Candidates who are claiming nativity of Tamil Nadu should upload their certificates of nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority.
