Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 Dates Live Updates: The Directorate of Medical Education and Research has started the facility to upload PwD certificate for candidates who have applied under Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwD) category. All such candidates have to get their certificate from the designated medical colleges and upload the same between August 4 to 8, 2026.
The TN Medical Selection committe will soon schedule for merit list, and choice filling of Tamil Nadu NEET counselling 2026. The schedule will be updated here once announced by the official authority.
Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026 is the state-level admission process conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME), Tamil Nadu, for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota and private medical college seats.
Registration for counselling process commenced on June 29 and the last date to apply was July 23, 2026, after which the authority reopened the application portal on July 26, 2026 and allowed fresh registrations until July 27, 2026.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling Process
The Counselling process consists of several stages:
- Online Registration on the official counselling website
- Application Submission along with required documents
- Publication of Merit List/Rank List based on NEET UG 2026 scores
- Choice Filling and Locking of preferred colleges and courses
- Seat Allotment according to merit rank, reservation rules, and candidate preferences
- Document Verification and Reporting at the allotted institution
- Subsequent Rounds including Round 2, Round 3, and Mop-Up rounds for vacant seats
Merit List and Seat Allotment
After the completion of registrations, the selection committee will release category-wise merit lists, including Government Quota, Management Quota, and the special 7.5% reservation category for eligible government school students. Seat allotment is carried out strictly on the basis of NEET rank, reservation norms, and choices submitted by candidates.

Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026: Document Verification & Institute Reporting Guidelines
Candidates will need the following documents during college reporting
- NEET- UG 2026 Admit card
- Class 10 Mark Sheet
- Class 12 Mark Sheet
- Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of H.S.C. or equivalent courses
- Certificate for proof of study from 6 to 12 class for the candidates who have studied completely in Tamil Nadu
