Telangana's student pursuing MS in US shot during robbery attempt

As per the USA officials, a Telangana student from Sangareddy was allegedly shot during a reported robbery attempt in Chicago.
K Sai Charan, a student from Sangareddy, Telangana is reportedly shot in the USA while a robbery attempt. As per reports, he has been admitted to a hospital and is out of danger now.
Sai Charan's friends had informed his father about the incident.
He went to the US on January 11 to pursue MS in Chicago as confirmed by his father Srinivas Rao. The incident occurred on Sunday and Sai Charan's friends informed him about it on Monday, as reported by ABP live.
"We got information about this incident...We are in shock," Srinivas said to the media.
Gun culture in the USA
Gun culture is at its peak in the US, a gunman killed 10 people in Los Angeles on Saturday and later the accused also shot himself in a van as authorities closed in.
As per the report of India TV, police authorities found him dead in the van. The accused was identified as 72-year-old Huu Can Tran. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the motive remained unclear for the attack, which wounded 10 more. Seven of the wounded people are in the hospital and all the victims were of age above 50 years.
As per the report of BBC.com, in the last three years, there have been more than 600 mass shootings - almost two a day on average. The deadliest such attack, in Las Vegas in 2017, killed more than 50 people and left 500 wounded.
