Uttar Pradesh: Deputy CM visits Agra Medical College
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak paid a surprise visit to Sarojani Naidu Medical College on Saturday.
The Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited Sarojani Naidu Medical College on Saturday without any prior information about his visit. He visited the emergency ward of the college at 7 pm in the evening and interacted with a patient in the emergency ward, and told the medical staff to admit the patient.
The minister also interacted with the family members of the patients admitted to the hospital.
College Principal Prashant Gupta said, "A patient was discharged from the medicine department of the college two days ago. He was a patient of chronic alcoholic liver disease and came to the waiting area today. He was admitted again on the directions of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak," as reported by latest LY.
"He also interacted with family members of the patients. Besides, the deputy CM has also directed to open three windows for the registration instead of two," added the principal.
UP to have more 7000 MBBS seats in next five years
As per the recent statement by the UP government, in the next five years, the state will have 7000 more MBBS seats, 3000 medical PG seats, 14,500 nursing seats and 3,600 paramedical seats.
“An emergency trauma care network will be established in the state. The state government is also engaged in equipping each district with medical facilities under its ‘One District One Medical College’ initiative. By the year 2022-2023, UP will create a new record in the medical field with the presence of facilities like advanced labs, CHCs, PHCs, PICUs, NICUs and health ATMs,” said the official statement.
