West Bengal NEET PG round 3 counselling process has been postponed in pursuance to the reduced NEET PG 2024 cutoff by MCC for the general/ EWS category cutoff to the 15 percentile and the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD category cutoff to the 10 percentile.

West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has postponed the WB NEET PG round 3 counselling registration 2024 process till further notice. The authorities have announced the postponement news on the official website i.e. wbmcc.nic.in. As per the officials, the WB NEET PG 2024 counselling registration for round 3 MD/ MS admissions has been postponed in pursuance of the cutoff percentile reduction notice published by MCC. 

Recently, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has reduced the NEET PG 2024 general/ EWS category cutoff to the 15 percentile and the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD category cutoff to the 10 percentile with an aim to fill the vacant PG medical seats for AIQ as well as state quota. Consequently, all the states, including West Bengal is expected to begin fresh registration after reduced cutoff for all interested and eligible candidates.  

"The Registration Process for Round 3 is temporarily postponed in pursuance to the cut-off percentile reduction notice published by MCC, New Delhi, For further information please check the counselling website frequently." The official website notified. 

WB NEET PG 2024 Round 3 Counselling Dates Soon

Primitively, the WB NEET PG round 3 counselling registration 2024 was scheduled to begin on January 7, 2025, while the merit list was scheduled to be released on January 10, 2025. However, with the postponement of the round 3 admission process, WBMCC is expected to announce the WB NEET PG 2024 revised counselling dates anytime soon on the official website.

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) of the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal, will organize four rounds of counselling, such as Round-1, Round-2, the mop-up round, and the stray vacancy round. There is no caste reservation. 

Q: Β  What is the seat surrender policy of West Bengal NEET PG counselling?
A:

The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 1 admission is allowed without any penalty money. The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 2 admission is allowed but with forfeiture of admission fees. The seat surrender is not allowed from Round 3 counseling any further till the counseling process is over.
