NEST 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for NEST 2022 is laid down by the exam authorities, which can be referred to in the section below:

Candidates should pass Class 12 in the Science stream from a recognised board in India with a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate (55 per cent for SC/PwD category candidates).

Candidates should have passed Class 12. Candidates who have appeared for their Class 12 exams in 2022 are also eligible to apply.

Candidates should have studied a combination of three subjects - Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics in Classes 11 and 12.

Candidates belonging to General or OBC categories should be born on or after August 1, 2002. The age limit is reserved for five years for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
NEST 2022 Exam Pattern
NEST 2022 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for a duration of 3.5 hours. There will be four sections in the exam with 17 questions each in multiple-choice (MCQ) and multiple-selection (MSQ) types. Each section will carry 50 marks. There is a differential marking scheme in the exam.
NEST 2022 syllabus has been released by the exam authorities. The syllabus comprises topics from Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The exam will be conducted in two slots, Morning (9 am to 12.30 pm) and Evening (2 pm to 5.30 pm). The NEST exam is conducted annually to offer admission for Integrated MSc programmes offered at NISER and UM-DAE CEBS for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
