NIT Surathkal PhD Admissions 2022 begins

NIT Surathkal PhD Admission 2022: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Surathkal has invited applications for Admission to MTech, MTech (Research) and PhD Programmes 2022-23. The total PhD intake capacity is 140 for the current session with Institute’s fellowships.

The vacant seats are available in 14 departments: Water Resources and Ocean Engineering (Formerly Applied Mechanics & Hydraulics Department), Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, School of Management, Information Technology, Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering and Physics.

Candidates must note that the last date for NIT Surathkal PhD online submission is May 25, 2022 (Wednesday). The last date to apply offline is May 27, 2022 (Friday). The registered candidates have to complete the online application form. No application will be accepted without application fee of INR 500 (OC / OBC/EWS) and INR 150 (SC / ST / PwD). Candidates are required to deposit the application fee through IRIS portal on or before May 25,  2022 (Wednesday).

NIT Surathkal PhD Surathkal Selection Process

Selection of candidates for admission to PhD programme will be based upon the GATE score, academic performance in the qualifying examinations, written aptitude test, presentation on a research topic and interview as specified by the DRPC of the concerned departments. Candidates applying for the programme are advised to check the detailed eligibility criteria on PhD Admission Information Brochure available at the official website of NIT Surathkal.

Selected full-time research scholars will get a fellowship of INR 31,000/- per month for the first two years and INR 35,000/-per month for the remaining two years on satisfactory progress.
