NIT Warangal invites applications for online programme in ML and deep learning

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal is now inviting applications for its online course that can be completed in five days. The course named applications of deep learning and machine learning in emerging areas of engineering, science and business will be offered by the institute in collaboration with the Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), Hyderabad, Telangana. The course has been planned involves eminent speakers from the industry and academics for the benefit of faculty, industry persons, scholars and postgraduates, the institute said in a statement.

The course aims at providing a broad overview of machine learning and deep learning fundamentals, algorithms and various applications in emerging areas of engineering, science and business. Some of the topics that will be covered are as follows:

  • Introduction to machine learning and deep learning
  • Supervised and unsupervised learning methods
  • Partitioned and hierarchical clustering methods
  • Bayesian Learning , and decision tree classification methods
  • Dimensionality reduction methods, or SVM classification
  • Reinforcement learning.

The course will be conducted by the institute from August 1 to August 5, 2022. Candidates who are interested must note that they can register for the course on or before July 30, 2022.  Candidates will have to pay the course fee of INR 500 and the selection will be done on the basis of a first-come-first-serve basis. The maximum number of students who will be enrolled in the course will be 60. Those who wish to apply are advised to go through the official notification for more information.
