AIIMS New Delhi will conduct the BSc Nursing entrance exam on June 27, 2026. With the announcement of Re-NEET 2026 on June 21, students who are preparing for both exam have raised concerns on social media platforms. Many of them have posted on online forums seeking a postponement of AIIMS Nursing exam, as only a six-day gap is present between both the examinations. However, despite the demand of postponement, experts indicated that AIIMS Delhi is unlikely to change AIIMS Nursing exam date 2026.
Why Are Students Demanding an AIIMS Nursing Exam Postponement?
The following are the reasons students are demanding a postponement of the exam date:
Limited Revision Time: The gap between both the two examinations is just 6 days. As a result, candidates appearing for both exams will have less than a week to shift their focus from NEET to BSc nursing entrance exam.
Travel and Exam Stress: Students who are appearing in both exams may also have to travel from one state to another. Managing multiple journeys within a short period would create mental fatigue.
Re-NEET Stress: Since NEET 2026 re test is being held this year. There are chances that the paper may be a little trickier in this session. Back-to-back two national-level entrance tests could affect the performance of students.
Why AIIMS Is Unlikely to Postpone AIIMS BSc Nursing Exam 2026?
There are several reasons why the AIIMS Nursing examination may proceed as scheduled. One of them is the AIIMS authorities would have finalised all the exam arrangements for June 27 examination as they have to conduct the exam in multiple shifts.
Making arrangements again is a time-consuming process. Further, AIIMS and NTA are two separate exam-conducting authorities. Hence, one may not make changes according to other's. Postponing AIIMS Nursing exam date 2026 would also delay the result announcement, counselling and admission process.
