Praxis Business School Data Science Student Championship-South Zone Challenge

Praxis Business School Data Science Student Championship-South Zone Challenge has received close to 200 registrations within a week of its going live on its partner MachineHack’s platform. According to the official press release, the Hackathon has been designed to solve real-life data analytics situations or problems. the Praxis Data Science Student Championship-South Zone Challenge is open to students from the five southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. The challenge will begin on May 12, 2022, and run until May 31, 2022.

Interested students can register on the MachineHack platform as individuals as well as in teams of two. Candidates must note that the registrations are free and the Championship will begin on May 19, 2022. The Leaderboard will freeze for the Top 50 teams on May 31, 2022.

Exciting Cash Prizes for Three Winning Teams

The Top Six teams will then arrive for the Grand Finale in Bengaluru on June 22, 2022. The three winning teams will be awarded cash prizes upto INR 50,000.

Eligibility Criteria for Praxis Business School Data Science Student Championship

Candidates pursuing BTech/ BE- (All streams)/ BSc/ MSc/ BCA/ MCA/ MTech can participate. The college/ University must be based in the South Zone (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana). Valid ID card from the respective college/ University is a must.

Judgment Criteria for Final Round

The winner will be judged on the following in the final jury round:

  • 30% Business Outcome/Impact
  • 20% Innovative + Creativity
  • 20% Algorithm and ML approach,
  • 15% Statistical analysis
  • 15% Presentation + Communication
