25000 jobs, Bhagwant Mann cabinet approves in maiden meeting
Out of a total of 25,000 government jobs announced, as many as 10,000 vacancies are in the Punjab Police.
The newly appointed Punjab cabinet has approved 25,000 government jobs for state youth in its first meeting held today. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bagwant Mann held first meeting of his cabinet today after swearing in ceremony of 10 ministers was held earlier today.
Punjab Cabinet has given nod to provide 25,000 government jobs to youth in its maiden meeting. Okays presentation of supplementary demands for grants for 2021-22. Also gives nod to present vote on account for year 2022-23.
This was the first cabinet meeting chaired by the new Chief Minister of Punjab after the formation of his cabinet. In a pre-poll promise, Bhagwant Mann had promised jobs in public sector would be the first decision of AAP government if voted to power.
Earlier today, during a ceremony at the Punjab Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh Governor Banwarilal Purohit administering the oath of office and secrecy to 10 ministers of Mann government.
Out of a total of 25,000 government jobs announced, as many as 10,000 vacancies are in the Punjab Police and the other 15,000 belong to other state government departments.
