IAF has published AFCAT 01/2021 first merit list for courses commencing at AFA in January 2022. The merit list is available in PDF and comprises the order of merit, roll numbers, and names of candidates.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has published first merit list for AFCAT 01/2021 exam for courses commencing at AFA in January 2022. The list has been prepared in the order of merit as per different branches. The medical status has not been considered for preparing the merit list. IAF will also publish a separate list depending upon the order of merit, medical fitness, choice of branch of the candidates and vacancies available in each branch.

The merit list is available in PDF form and comprises the order of merit, roll numbers and names of candidates. AFCAT exam is conducted by the IAF to select Class-I Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). The exam is held twice a year, in February and August/September, respectively.

Currently, AFCAT 1 2022 application process is underway. Interested candidates can apply online for the exam till December 30. The application fee is INR 250 for all categories and can be paid online. AFCAT 1 2022 exam will be conducted on February 12, 13 and 14.

All registered candidates are required to appear in AFCAT. Whereas, candidates who opt for Ground Duty (Technical) branch are required to appear in both AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). Both AFCAT and EKT exams are conducted in online mode. The test paper of AFCAT comprises questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. EKT comprises questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. The total marks allotted to AFCAT are 300 while EKT carries 150 marks.
