AFCAT 1 2022 application form has been released on December 1. Candidates can apply till December 30. The exam will be held on February 12, 13 and 14.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has released AFCAT 1 2022 application form on December 1 to fill up a total of 269 vacancies. Interested candidates can fill the application form till December 30. Along with the application form, the exam dates have been announced. The online exam will be conducted on February 12, 13 and 14. The application fee is INR 250 for all categories and can be paid online. Registered candidates will be able to download their admit cards after January 28, 2022. The selection process comprises online test and AFSB test.

AFCAT 1 2022 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for AFCAT 1 2022 exam, candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India as per Indian citizenship act, 1955

Age limit: For Flying branch, the age of candidates should be between 20 and 24 years as on January 1, 2023. Candidates must have born between January 2, 1999 to January 1, 2003. For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) branch, should be between 20 to 26 years as on January 1, 2023. Candidates must have born between January 2, 1997, to January 1, 2003.

Educational Qualification: For Flying branch, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Maths and Physics with 50 per cent. They must have passed three-year Graduation in any discipline/BE/BTech/Cleared Section A & B exam of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60 per cent.

For Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branch, candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Maths with 50 per cent. Candidates must have passed four-year Graduation/Integrated Post-Graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology/Cleared Sections A and B of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies in disciplines specified by IAF with 60 per cent.

For Ground Duty (Technical) branch, candidates must have passed Class 12 and Graduation in any discipline/cleared sections A & B  examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60 per cent.

Candidates who are studying in the final year Graduation can also apply provisionally provided they should not have any present backlog and have secured 60 per cent upto the last semester/year. They are required to submit proof of passing the exam by November 30, 2022.
