AFCAT 2 Admit Card 2022 OUT Live, Exam Date, Centres, Previous Year Question paper

AFCAT exam will be conducted across more than 100 test cities. Candidates are required to select five test cities while filling the application form. Candidates were allotted test centres as per the choices entered by them.

The official notification mentions that

• The Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course
• Widows/Widowers and divorcees below 25 years are also not eligible
• Married candidates above 25 years are eligible to apply, but during their training period, they are neither provided married accommodation nor can they live with family

The age limits prescribed for the exam are different for different branches. The table below contains the age limit for different branches.

AFCAT 2 exam 2022 applications were filled from June 1 to June 30. The application fee for the AFCAT exam was INR 250 for all the categories which can be paid online.

AFCAT application 2022 correction window was closed on July 18. The application correction window was activated on July 15.

The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Class 10 level. The standard of questions in other subjects of AFCAT exam will be of graduation level.

The test paper of AFCAT comprises questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. EKT comprises questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. A total of 100 questions are asked in the AFCAT exam while EKT carries 50 questions. Candidates get two hours to solve AFCAT paper while 45 minutes for EKT. The total marks allotted to AFCAT are 300 while EKT carries 150 marks.

The types of commission offered to candidates through the AFCAT exam are given below:
Permanent Commission (PC) for Men: Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation in their respective branches as per their rank.
Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men & Women
• The engagement period for Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non-extendable)
• The initial tenure for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit
• Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) would be considered subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability, merit and as per prevailing policies on the subject

The following items are to be carried to the exam centre:
• E-Admit Card for AFCAT 02/2022
• Candidate’s Aadhaar Card
• Valid photo identity card such as PAN card/ passport/ driving licence/ voter identity card/ college identity card or any other valid photo identity proof, with details of name, father’s name, date of birth and a clear photograph
• Two passport size colour photographs same as the photo uploaded during online application (to be pasted, not stapled on admit card next to the printed photo and on attendance sheet at the exam centre)
• Ballpoint Pen (blue or black) for signing on the attendance sheet and rough work

The following items are not allowed inside the exam hall:
• Blue tooth device, communication / electronic / digital / wireless devices like calculators, docupen, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, cellular phone, memory card/ stick, pager, organizer, personal digital assistant (PDA), concealed microphone or camera, radio, headset, Walkman, recorder, translator, etc.
• Textual or stationery material such as pencil-box/geometry box, book, log tables, clip board, slide rule (except blue or black transparent ballpoint pen)
• Personal items (wristwatch/wristband, bracelets, handbags, ornaments, wallet, purse, headgear, scarf, goggles, jackets) eatable items (chips, chocolates, food, drinks etc.)

Candidates are allotted centres as per their choice. Candidates should note that no request for change of centre will be entertained. 

Candidates are advised to check all the details carefully in AFCAT 2 admit card 2022 after downloading it. If they find any discrepancy in details, they should immediately contact AFCAT Query Cell at C-DAC, Pune. Candidates can also raise their queries through email at afcatcell@cdac.in. The incorrect details will be rectified by the examination authority and fresh admit card will be issued. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination unless they hold a downloaded e-admit card for the examination.

Along with the printed copy of AFCAT 2 admit card, candidates are required to carry the photo-identity proof for verification:
• PAN card
• Passport
• Driving License
• Voter Identity Card
• College Identity Card (or any other valid photo identity proof that mentions - name, father’s name, date of birth, and a clear photograph)

A total of 304 vacancies have been announced for AFCAT 2, out of these, 248 vacancies are for men and 56 vacancies are for women candidates. AFCAT 2 vacancy break-up is given below.

AFCAT 2 exam will be conducted in two shifts. AFCAT 2 exam timings are given in the table below.
