Indian Air Force (IAF) released AFCAT 2 admit card 2022 on August 10. The admit card was made available for all the registered candidates. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter email ID, password, and captcha code. AFCAT 2 admit card 2022 comprises details such as name, roll number, date of birth, exam centre details, exam day guidelines, etc. AFCAT Admit Card 2022 is a very important document for exam day and candidates must remember to carry it to the exam hall. Without this hall ticket, they will not be allowed to write the exam. Candidates must check all the details on the AFCAT Admit Card 2022 carefully. In case of any discrepancy, they must report it to the exam conducting body, IAF at the earliest.  

AFCAT 2 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on August 26, 27 and 28. The exam is conducted by IAF to select Class-1 Gazetted Officers in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Candidates qualifying the online test are called for AFSB interview. The final selection of candidates for AFCAT 2 2022 will be done based on online test and AFSB interview. Candidates who have opted for the Ground Duty (Technical) branch are required to appear for Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) along with AFCAT. Selection of candidates through AFCAT 2 2022 will be done for the courses commencing in July 2023.

The steps to download AFCAT 2 admit card 2022 are given below:

  • Visit the official website of IAF Air Force Common Admission Test-afcat.cdac.in
  • On the homepage, click on the tab that reads, 'Candidate Login'
  • Alternatively, candidates can download their hall tickets from the direct link shared here-AFCAT Admit Card 2022
  • Enter the login credentials and then click on submit
  • AFCAT 2 Admit Card 2022 will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and print a copy for future references

    AFCAT 2022 Exam Centres

    AFCAT exam will be conducted across more than 100 test cities. Candidates are required to select five test cities while filling the application form. Candidates were allotted test centres as per the choices entered by them.

    Candidates should be between 20 and 24 years. The upper age limit for candidates having a Commercial Pilot License is relaxed up to 26 years

    What is AFCAT 2 Exam Pattern 2022?

    The test paper of AFCAT comprises questions from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. EKT comprises questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. A total of 100 questions are asked in the AFCAT exam while EKT carries 50 questions. Candidates get two hours to solve AFCAT paper while 45 minutes for EKT. The total marks allotted to AFCAT are 300 while EKT carries 150 marks.

    What are the types of Commission Offered through AFCAT?

    The types of commission offered to candidates through the AFCAT exam are given below:
    Permanent Commission (PC) for Men: Candidates joining as PC officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation in their respective branches as per their rank.
    Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men & Women
    • The engagement period for Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning (Non-extendable)
    • The initial tenure for Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit
    • Grant of Permanent Commission (PC) would be considered subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability, merit and as per prevailing policies on the subject

    Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall

    The following items are to be carried to the exam centre:
    • E-Admit Card for AFCAT 02/2022
    • Candidate’s Aadhaar Card
    • Valid photo identity card such as PAN card/ passport/ driving licence/ voter identity card/ college identity card or any other valid photo identity proof, with details of name, father’s name, date of birth and a clear photograph
    • Two passport size colour photographs same as the photo uploaded during online application (to be pasted, not stapled on admit card next to the printed photo and on attendance sheet at the exam centre)
    • Ballpoint Pen (blue or black) for signing on the attendance sheet and rough work

    Items Not Allowed in Exam Hall

    The following items are not allowed inside the exam hall:
    • Blue tooth device, communication / electronic / digital / wireless devices like calculators, docupen, electronic watches with facilities of calculator, cellular phone, memory card/ stick, pager, organizer, personal digital assistant (PDA), concealed microphone or camera, radio, headset, Walkman, recorder, translator, etc.
    • Textual or stationery material such as pencil-box/geometry box, book, log tables, clip board, slide rule (except blue or black transparent ballpoint pen)
    • Personal items (wristwatch/wristband, bracelets, handbags, ornaments, wallet, purse, headgear, scarf, goggles, jackets) eatable items (chips, chocolates, food, drinks etc.)

    How to correct Discrepancies in AFCAT 2 Admit Card 2022?

    Candidates are advised to check all the details carefully in AFCAT 2 admit card 2022 after downloading it. If they find any discrepancy in details, they should immediately contact AFCAT Query Cell at C-DAC, Pune. Candidates can also raise their queries through email at afcatcell@cdac.in. The incorrect details will be rectified by the examination authority and fresh admit card will be issued. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination unless they hold a downloaded e-admit card for the examination.

    Candidates must note that the AFCAT hall ticket is only available at the ‘Candidate Login tab’ and there will be no separate link for it. After clicking the candidate login tab, go to the AFCAT 02/2022 cycle. The login page opens where candidates need to enter their login credentials.
