CDS 2020 application process will close tomorrow, i.e. August 25. Interested candidates can submit their application forms and pay the fees online till 6 pm. Candidates could pay the application fees offline till August 24. The application fees are Rs 200 for General and OBC male candidates.

After reviewing CDS application forms, UPSC will release the list of rejected candidates. The online application form can be withdrawn from September 1 to 7, 2020.

How to fill CDS 2020 application form?

Candidates can follow the steps below to apply online for the exam.

  • Visit the official website upsc.gov.in
  • Click the Part-I link to register for CDS exam
  • Enter personal details, address and educational qualification to apply online for CDS
  • Candidates are also required to choose their preferred branch
  • Verify the details before submitting the registration form
  • On successful registration, the registration ID will be generated
  • Pay the application fees
  • Select CDS exam centres
  • Upload the scanned documents
  • Submit the application form and take its printout

Combined Defence Services Examination commonly known as CDS is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers' Training Academy (OTA). The exam is held twice a year usually in February and September. Lakhs of candidates appear for the national level defence entrance examination.
