BPSSC SI mains postponed again, now the exam will be held on October 29 after Bihar assembly election.

Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has put out a notification on its official website regarding the postponement of Bihar police SI mains exam due to the upcoming Bihar assembly election. The mains exam was to be held on October 11, 2020. As per the new notification, will now be held on October 29, 2020 (Sunday) in two shifts.

The admit card for BPSSC SI mains was released previously, new admit card will be released for all candidates who were going to take the exam on October 11. Fresh admit cards will be released a few days before the exam is to be conducted.

The exam was previously postponed keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, the exam was to be conducted on April 26; the date was postponed and a new date, August 23, was announced. Further postponement of the exam was announced and the exam was scheduled on October 11.

Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) released the notification for the 2246 posts for Bihar Police sub-inspector/sergeant/assistant superintendent jail (direct recruitment)/assistant superintendent jail (ex-serviceman) in the advertisement no. 01/2019. Out of total of 2246 vacancies, there are 215 vacancies are for Sergeant, 125 are for Assistant Superintendent Jail (Direct Recruitment) and 42 vacancies are for Ex-Serviceman candidates for Assistant Superintendent Jail Post.
