Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) 2019 Detailed Application Form for the CAPF Interview/Personality Test. The CAPF 2019 DAF will be available on the official website till November 13, 2019. The DAF was released for the 2215 candidates who were passed the CAPF Prelims Exam 2019. The CAPF result for Prelims exam was declared on October 18, 2019.

The candidates need to scan their document and attach them with the DAF so that they can ensure their eligibility and claim any other reservation benefits. The candidate should scan their relevant original documents as listed below in 200 dpi grey scale and convert to separate pdf files up to 1 Mb, before filling in the online Detailed Application Form (DAF).
The following documents are required to be scanned and sent with the CAPF DAF 2019.
- Scanned copy of the certificate for Date of Birth.
- Scanned copy of the certificates showing educational qualification prescribed in para 3(IV) of the Notice of the Examination uploaded on the website of Commission and Rule 6 of the Rules of Examination published in the Gazette of India dated April 24, 2019.
- Scanned copy of the certificate in support of claim to belong to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) (wherever applicable).
- Scanned copy of Undertaking duly signed by the candidate seeking relaxation as OBC candidate in support of claim of not belonging to creamy layer, to be given in format as mentioned in para B-1 of Appendix I.
- A scanned copy of duly filled in and signed proforma given as Annexure to Detailed Application Form by the candidate seeking relaxation as OBC candidate.
- Scanned copy of the certificate in support of claim of age concession, wherever applicable.
- Scanned copy of Discharge Certificate if claiming to be an Ex-serviceman.
- Scanned copy of the Undertaking duly signed by the candidate if already in Government Service.
Originals of the above certificates are required to be produced along with self-certified copies of all the documents at the time of interview or within the last day of interview, which will be published in the Commission’s website in due course, failing which their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
The candidates are required to fill the DAF and appear in the PET/PST/MST (whichever applies to them). Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is the nodal authority for conducting the medical examination and will intimate the result of the Physical test to the UPSC. Click here to fill the CAPF DAF Form.
After the PST/PET, the candidates will be called for the Interview/Personality Test in the UPSC. The UPSC will declare the CAPF final result after conducting the Interviews. The final merit will be prepared by taking into account the marks obtained in the written examination and Interview/personality test. The final result will be declared in January – February 2020.
The CAPF written exam was conducted on August 18, 2019 at various centres across the country. The CAPF prelims exam was conducted in two sessions and have two papers in it. The CAPF written exam is of 450 marks and the CAPF Interview is of 150 marks. The final merit is prepared out of 600 marks. The candidates need to qualify the PST/PET/MST to get selected in the CAPF exam.
CAPF 2019 notification was released on April 24, 2019, for 323 vacancies to recruit the Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo?Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
The cadre controlling authority for the officers recruited under CAPF is Union Ministry of Home. The Ministry of Home publishes the whole process of exam in the Gazette of India. In the official notification, UPSC is designated as the exam conducting body for the CAPF exam. The vacancies notified in the official notification is not final and can be changed as the requirement arises. It is important to note that the candidates who are selected for the Assistant Commandant position in any of the forces earlier which are participating in the CAPF Exam 2019 are not eligible to appear in the CAPF exam 2019.
