CDS 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualification required for CDS exam is given below:

• For IMA and Officers’ Training Academy, candidates must be a graduate
• For Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university
• For Air Force Academy, graduation or bachelor of Engineering is compulsory. Students have studied Physics and Mathematics at Class 12 level

How to apply online for CDS?

The process to fill CDS application form 2020 is given below:

• Visit the official website upsc.gov.in
• Click the Part-I link to register for the exam
• Enter personal details, address and educational qualification to apply online
• Choose preferred branch
• Verify the details before submitting the registration form
• On successful registration, the registration ID will be generated
• Pay the application fees through cash/credit card/debit card or net banking
• Select the exam centres
• Upload scanned images of photograph and signature
• Submit the application form
• Take printout of application form and fee confirmation receipt

CDS is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers' Training Academy (OTA).
