The order has been passed on account of the complete lockdown in the country to evade the spread of the coronavirus. The state government has ordered all departments, universities, Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), PSUs, autonomous bodies, and Subordinate Services Selection Board working under the state government to extend the deadline to April 30 or later. Before this, various recruitment and exam conducting bodies such as Staff Selection Commission (SSC), National Testing Agency (NTA), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and several state-level recruitment bodies had also extended registration dates and postponed recruitment examinations.
