Coronavirus: RBI Grade B 2019-20 interview postponed

In view of the prevailing conditions caused by Novel Coronavirus and 21-days nation-wide lockdown, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has postponed the interview process of RBI Grade B 2019-20 for DSIM. The official notice issued regarding this reads, “Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and as a precautionary measure, the interviews of candidates for Grade B (DR) DSIM scheduled to be held from April 20 to 28, 2020 are deferred till further orders.”

“New dates for the interviews will be informed to the candidates in due course of time on the official website,” the notice further reads.

Candidates under this post are selected for the interview based on their performance in Paper I, II and III. Final selection of candidates are done based on their performance in Paper I, II and III and interview. Selected candidates will be offered letter of appointment.

The job requirement of candidates selected for RBI Grade B DSIM is to collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of data on banking, corporate and external sectors; Modelling and forecasting of inflation, growth and other important macroeconomics indicators. They are also responsible for analytical studies involving statistical/econometric models in the operational areas of interest RBI. They plan, designing and organize sample surveys, maintain technology-driven centralized reporting system and data warehouse for information management /dissemination and development of methodology and estimation of variables and improvement of the database of various sectors of the economy.

Selected candidates will draw a basic pay of Rs 35,150 per month. Besides, they are also for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately Rs 77, 208.
