RBI Grade B 2019-20 interview has been postponed for DEPR post due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Read below for more details.

In the wake of the prevailing conditions caused by Novel Coronavirus and lockdown 2.0, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has postponed the interview process of RBI Grade B 2019-20 for DEPR. The official notice issued regarding this reads, β€œDue to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), as a precautionary measure, the interviews of the candidates for Grade B (DR) DEPR scheduled from May 4 to 7, 2020 are deferred till further orders.”

β€œNew dates for the interviews will be informed to candidates in due course of time on the official website. Candidates are advised to check the website regularly for further updates,” the notice reads.

RBI selects candidates under DEPR post based on online/written exams and interview. RBI Grade B test comprises three papers: I, II and III. Candidates who secure minimum aggregate marks in Paper I are shortlisted for Paper I, III.

The job requirement for this post is primarily to undertake economic analysis, research and contribute to policy, formulation, apart from compilation of data relating to select sectors.

Selected candidates will draw a basic pay of Rs 35,150 per month. Besides, they are also for Dearness Allowance, Local allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family allowance and Grade Allowance. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately Rs 77, 208.
