The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) had recently completed the provisional allotment for Tech A post. Shortlisted candidates had been provisionally nominated to DRDO labs. The provisional nomination letter had been sent by email to all candidates. The original provisional allotment letter had been send through post.

DRDO CEPTAM Tech A recruitment was conducted to fill up a total of 351 vacancies. The trade/discipline for which the recruitment was conducted are Automobile, Book Binder, Carpenter, Electrician, Electronics, Fitter, Painter, Photographer, Turner, Welder, etc.

The selection process comprised Tier I and Tier II. The Tier I was CBT while Tier II was the Trade Test. The CBT comprised objective-type multiple-choice questions only. The Tier I was for provisional selection. Tier II is qualifying in nature.

The provisional selection was based on the merit obtained in the Tier I exam depending upon the post/category/sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier I was 40% for UR/OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates. The provisionally shortlisted candidates in Tier I was called for Tier II. It was mandatory to qualify the Tier II for final selection.

DRDO CEPTAM is conducted by Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). CEPTAM conducts the exam for recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category non-gazetted personnel. CEPTAM is a corporate body of DRDO established as Personnel Assessment Centre (PEACE) to cater to DRTC Cadre (Technical Staff) of DRDO. The centre is responsible for the recruitment of Technical, Administrative & Allied category staff, assessment and facilitates training for this cadre.
