HTET 2021 List of UMC Cases released, BSEH to hold hearing on January 20; check details here
HTET 2021 UMC cases list has been released by the BSEH. The board will hold the hearing of candidates named in the list on January 20, 2022.
Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH) has released the list of Unfair Means Cases (UMC) for HTET December 2021 session. A total of 64 candidates have been named under the UMC cases list of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2021. These candidates now need to appear for the hearing on January 20, 2022.
The BSEH will begin the candidate hearing at 9.30 am on January 20. Candidates need to reach the BSEH Headquarters, Bhiwani for the hearing.
What is a UMC Case?
Cases wherein candidates are caught practising any sort of unfair means while the conduct of examination are dealt as UMC cases. Some of the instances of unfair means are:
- Possession of any copying material
- Giving and taking help from any source
- Talking in the examination hall
- Destroying evidence
- Attempting to leak question papers
- Smuggling the answer key
- Impersonation, misconduct and disobedience
- Use of abusive language
- Approaching examiners
- Making changes in the answer key after the conduct of exam

Can candidates appeal against UMC cases?
Yes, candidates can appeal against the punishment by the Unfairmeans Committee within 30 days of the date of receipt of the decision. Such appeals need to be submitted in writing on plain paper addressing the Secretary of the BSEH.
If the appeal gets accepted, the case is then put before the standing committee. In case otherwise, the candidate is informed accordingly.
