Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection will conduct IBPS PO Preliminary exam on August 17, 23, and 24, 2025. Candidates need to focus on smart last minute tips, practice questions with timer to increase speed and accuracy and revise key topics.

As per IBPS PO 2025 exam pattern prelims paper have three sections English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability with a total of 100 marks allotted. Candidates need to qualify sectional as well as overall cutoff to qualify for IBPS PO Mains exam.

Last Minute Preparation Tips for IBPS PO 2025 Prelims

Candidates can check these points for IBPS PO preparation 

  • Prioritise high scoring topics like puzzles and data interpretation and reading comprehension. These carry combined weightage of about 60 to 70 percent of section score.
  • Aim to complete sample papers or mock tests 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time. This builds time buffer for reviewing answers. Try taking 1 to 2 mocks daily, followed by analysis to learn from mistakes.
  • Practice completing sections within 20 minutes each English, Quant, Reasoning. Avoid spending too much time on tough questions, start with strengths.
  • Now is not time to go through new topics. Focus instead on revising well known areas and shortcuts. Revise short notes for quick recall.
  • Aim for high accuracy level around 90 to 95%, to minimise negative marks.
  • Build routine that includes relaxation practices, take short breaks, connect with family or go out for fresh air.
