Indian Coast Guard Navik DB application to start from November 30, eligible and willing candidates can apply till December 9.

Indian Coast Guard is inviting applications from Indian male candidates holding relevant educational qualifications, age and physical criteria for recruitment to the post of Navik (Domestic Branch-Cook & Steward). The online application for the post begins from November 30, candidates can apply till December 9, 2020.

As per the notification, the written exam will be conducted in December 2020 and January 2021. Navik admit card will be released on December 19 and it will be available for download till December 25.

To apply for the post candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates from 18 years to 22 years of age are eligible to apply. 10th pass candidates with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central / State Government can apply. As per the job requirement, candidates need to prepare food as per the menu selected by the recruiting body.

The written examination includes questions from Quantitative Aptitude, Mathematics, General Sciences, General English, General Awareness (Current Affairs & General Knowledge) and Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal), all questions will be asked in objective format. Those who qualify written examination will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). Physically Challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for the post.

Starting basic pay for Navik (DB) is Rs 21700 (Pay Level-3) along with dearness allowance (DA) and other allowances based on the nature of duty/place of posting.
