Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020: 25 posts for Assistant Commandant announced

The Indian Coast Guard has invited applications for the post of Assistant Commandant (Group A Gazetted Officers) as part of a special recruitment drive for SC and ST candidates only. The applications can be submitted online from February 9 to February 15, 2020. The admit cards for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020 will be made available on the official website from February 25. All the interested candidates must visit the official Indian Coast Guard website to apply for the same. As many as 25 posts have been announced for the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2020: Eligibility criteria

Educational Qualification: (i) All the candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate can apply.

(ii) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class 12th of 10+2+3 education scheme/ equivalent with 55% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics.
However, candidates who are not in 10+2 or equivalent level are not eligible for the General Duty.

Age limit: The candidate must be born between July 1, 1990, and June 30, 1999.

The Coast Guard has also set some additional eligibility criteria for the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2020, which is as follows:

• Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear.
• Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges.
• Only candidates who have cleared their final year/ final semester exams and completed their degrees are eligible to apply.
