The online information has been invited to identify candidates belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Zoroastrian (Parsi), Buddhist, Christian and Jain communities and offer them Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) 2019-20. However, such candidates must be pursuing full-time/regular MPhil/PhD degree courses in streams such as Science, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering.
Candidates belonging to minority communities (mentioned above) who have qualified CSIR NET and UGC NET June 2019 exams for eligibility of Assistant Professor only and not for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) have to fill an online proforma available on the official website of UGC – ugcnetonline.in. Candidates can fill the online proforma latest by June 30, 2020.
It may be noted that candidates who cleared the CSIR NET and UGC NET December 2019 exam do not need to fill the online proforma as information regarding their minority status had already been provided by them at the time of submission of UGC NET application form and CSIR NET application form.
Candidates shortlisted for MANF will get maximum duration of two years to complete MPhil fellowship or submit dissertation, whichever is earlier. The duration of fellowship will be five years for candidates pursuing MPhil and PhD or only PhD.
