KVPY 2020-21 applications postponed due to COVID-19, check details here
KVPY applications which were scheduled to be out in the last week of July have been postponed due to COVID-19. Read to know more.
The application process for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) has been postponed in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak across the nation. The KVPY applications 2020-21 were scheduled to be out in the last week of July 2020. The information on the official website reads, "Due to COVID-19, KVPY application activities for the year 2020-21 are postponed, soon we will update the information." The KVPY application forms will soon be released on the official website of KVPY along with the KVPY exam dates.
Students studying in Class 11th, 12th and 1st year of UG course are eligible to apply for KVPY.
Last year, the KVP examination was held on November 3 in the computer-based test (CBT) mode. The final KVPY result was released on March 20 on the official website of KVPY.
Steps to apply for KVPY exam 2020-21
Students must follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the national-level fellowship programme:
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official website and click on 'Apply for KVPY 2020' and fill in all the details as required in the fields provided. The details which are to be filled would include email ID, date of birth, mobile number, among other personal details
- Click on 'Submit'
Step 2: Login
Candidates will be sent their User ID and Password on their Email ID and mobile number added by them. They would need to login through the official website of KVPY with the same credentials.
Step 3: Filling up of application form
Candidates will then be required to fill in the application form, choose preferred test centre and uploading of documents such as signature, important certificates, as applicable.
Step 4: Payment of application fees
The application fees for KVPY 2020 are as follows:
- For General/OBC Category: Rs 1000
- For SC/ST/PWD: Rs 500 (Bank Charges extra)
