NTSE Punjab Application form 2021 submission last date extended; Exam on December 13

NTSE Punjab Application Form 2021: Punjab School Education Department has reopened the NTSE registration window today; i.e. November 11. The State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT), Punjab will be conducting the State Level Talent Search Examination (Stage 1) for the year 2020-21 on December 13, 2020, (Sunday), the Punjab Government announced. Punjab students can now register online for the NTSE stage 1 exam on or before November 15 at epunjabschool.gov.in. The second phase of NTSE 2021 will be conducted on June 13.
The examination is conducted to select students from Class 10. NTSE is a scholarship exam for students of Class 10 to identify and nurture talent. The exam is conducted at two levels – Stage 1 at the state level and Stage 2 at the national level. Students studying in Class 10 in state government, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyala or any other type of recognised/ affiliated schools situated in Punjab can register for NTSE 2021. Students must note that the last date for the submission of completely filled NTSE 2021 Punjab application form is November 15, 2020. As per the reports, NTSE admit card 2021 will be handed over to the students at least 15 days before the date of the exam.
“Punjab School Education Department has decided to reopen the portal for registration for state-level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE, Stage-1) from November 11 to November 15 in view of difficulties faced by students,” the Punjab government tweeted. “The exam will be held on December 13, 2020. Registration for this exam can be done on the http://epunjabschool.gov.in portal,” it added.
About 2,000 scholarships will be awarded for NTSE qualifying candidates at different stages of education. For students of Classes 11 and 12, the NTSE scholarship amount is Rs 1,250 per month, while for the undergraduate and postgraduate years, it is Rs 2,000 per month and for PhD, the amount of scholarship is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

NTSE 2021 Reservation Criteria
NCERT will award the NTSE scholarships 2021 on the basis of certain reservation criteria which is provided below. Candidates will be required to mention their category and attach a copy of the certificate (in case of reserved category only) in the NTSE application form 2021. The result and merit lists will also be prepared on the following reservation criteria:
