OTET 2021 exam is being conducted offline today on April 9 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 1.25 lakh candidates are expected to appear for Paper-I and Paper-II.

Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha is conducting the OTET 2021 exam today on April 9, 2021, in various exam centres across Odisha. Candidates who have applied for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2021 session will be appearing for the exam to gain eligibility for teacher recruitment in the state schools. Over 1.25 lakh candidates are likely to take the exam.

The OTET 2021 exam is being conducted offline in pen and paper mode in two sessions for Paper-I and Paper-II. The OTET Paper-I is for Classes 1 to 5 teachers and Paper-II is for Classes 6 to 8 teachers. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 8 will take both papers.

OTET 2021 exam details

  • The OTET 2021 exam is conducted in two sessions for – Paper-I and Paper-II
  • The total time duration for each paper is 2 hours 30 minutes
  • A total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be asked in each paper and each carries 1 mark
  • There is no negative marking in the exam
  • OTET question papers will be set bilingually i.e. in Odia and English
  • Language-II subject will be English for all the candidates in both papers
