Over 1.77 lakh women candidates had applied for the NDA exam. The exam was conducted on November 14 in two shifts. NDA result will be announced soon.

Over 1.77 lakh women candidates had applied for NDA 2021 exam. In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said that the total number of applications for NDA 2021 exam were 5,75,856, out if which 1,77,654 were from women. This means, nearly a third of the applications for NDA 2021 are women.

In August, the Supreme Court has passed an order paving the way for women candidates to take admission in the three wings of National Defence Academy-Army, Navy and Air Force. The first batch of women candidates had appeared for the NDA II 2021 exam, held on November 14. The result of which will be announced soon.

Necessary infrastructure and facilities for the training of the women candidates are put in place at the National Defence Academy. The revised vacancies for women candidates have been announced. A total of 10 vacancies have been announced for women candidates for Army, three for Navy and six for Air Force in National Defence Academy.

NDA exam is conducted for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). The exam is conducted twice a year in two stages: written exam and SSB Interview.
