Over 92 Lakh Candidates Registered for Various IBPS Exams During 2021-22
Over 92 lakh candidates had registered for various IBPS exams during 2021-22. In 2021-22, a total of 5.74 candidates had registered for IBPS PO, out of which 4.37 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. In the same year, a total of 8.49 lakh candidates had registered for IBPS Clerk and of the total number of registered candidates, only 5.94 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. In 2021-22, a total of 1.29 lakh candidates had registered for the exam and 1 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
A total of 7.56 lakh candidates had registered for Office Assistant post, out of which 5.33 lakh candidates had appeared for the IBPS RRB exam. For Officers post, a total of 5.74 lakh candidates had applied for the IBPS RRB exam and 4.36 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.

IBPS Exams: 2020-21 vs 2021-22
The table below shows a comparative analysis of the number of candidates who have registered and appeared for various IBPS exams during the year 2020-21 and 2021-22.

From the above table, it can be concluded that the number of registrations in 2021-22 has increased for IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO and IBPS RRB Office Assistant. However, there is a dip in the number of PO level posts both in public sector banks and regional rural banks.

The above table shows that the number of candidates who took IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO and IBPS RRB exams in 2021-22 have increased compared to 2020-21. However, the number of test takers for IBPS PO exam has dipped.
