RRB ALP 2022 notification is expected to be released in November or December. Ministry of Railways writes letters to zonal railways to fill more than 15,000 vacancies in loco running staff.

RRB ALP 2022 notification expected to release in Nov-Dec

Ministry of Railways has released a circular dated March 14, 2022 regarding filling up promotional vacancies in Loco Running Cadre and merger of cadre/seniority of Loco Pilots (Electrical and Mechanical). The letter has been written to the general managers of all zonal railways along with the vacancy positions. In the letter, the Ministry of Railways has mentioned that there is a large number of vacancies in the loco running staff particularly in higher grades of mail express/passenger driver. The Ministry further mentioned that the posts are required to be filled on an urgent basis and necessary action needs to be taken to fill up promotional vacancies.

Status of RRB ALP 2022 Recruitment

Around 50 to 60 per cent of vacancies in ALP positions are filled through open market recruitment. RRB ALP notification 2022 will be released only the promotional vacancies are filled. The notification is expected to be released in November or December or else in 2023. RRB ALP notification was last released in 2018 wherein a total of 64,371 vacancies were announced.

Selection Process of RRB ALP

Railway recruitment board (RRB) conducts RRB ALP and Technician Exam to recruit Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician for different railway zones across the country. The exam is conducted in multiple phases, First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), and Document Verification.
