RRB Group D, NTPC exams dates likely to be announced by January end

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are likely to announce the exam dates of RRB Group and NTPC either by January end or first week of February 2020. According to the official notification, RRB Group D exam was scheduled to be conducted in September-October 2019 while RRB NTPC exam was to be held in September-October 2019. It’s been 8 months now, still there is no update regarding the exam dates by the examination authority. Over 2.4 crores candidates who have filled the application forms for both these exams are now waiting for the exam dates.

Earlier, the examination authority had released notification related to the exam dates of RRB NTPC exam on October 14. The notification stated, “It was indicated that the first stage CBT of RRB NTPC exam was scheduled to be conducted in June and September 2019. However, it has been postponed. The revised schedule will be published in the official websites of all RRBs later.”Also Read: RRB NTPC 2019 first stage CBT exam postponed.

On September 18, 2019, RRBs had released an official notice saying that they are in the process to finalise the examination authority. Besides, the examination authority will be conducted in 15 languages namely - Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Marathi, Manipuri, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

A fake notice was circulated on the social media earlier that the exam city and date intimation of RRB NTPC will be made available on March 13, 2020. The admit card will be released on March 24, 2020.

RRB Group D exam is conducted for recruitment to various posts like Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant Pointsman in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various departments of Indian Railways. RRB NTPC is conducted to select candidates for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) graduate and undergraduate posts.
