Candidates who appeared for Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be able to check their result and marks through the respective regional RRB websites. RRB Group D CEN 09/2025 result will determine candidates shortlisted for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

RRB Group D recruitment process includes CBT, PET, Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination. Will normalised marks decide PET shortlisting?

Yes. According to RRB Group D notification, candidates will be shortlisted for PET based on their CBT merit, with normalisation applicable to CBTs conducted in multiple sessions. Railway/RRC-wise shortlisting is prescribed at three times the number of vacancies, although number may be increased or decreased according to requirement of Railway Administration.

For example, if a particular Railway/RRC has 1,000 vacancies, candidates may be shortlisted for PET at around three times the number of vacancies, subject to the provisions mentioned in the notification. So, meeting minimum qualifying marks does not automatically mean that a candidate will be shortlisted for the PET.

RRB Group D Result 2026: Raw vs normalised

Candidates should understand difference between raw and normalised marks. RRB Group D raw marks are based on candidate's performance in particular CBT session. Normalised marks are calculated to account for differences in difficulty across multiple sessions. RRB Group D CBT also has negative marking. The official notification states that one-third of marks allotted to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
