RRB NTPC 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted from December 15. Know here important points related to the Computer Based Test.

RRB NTPC exam will begin on December 15. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will soon announce the detailed exam schedule. Recently, RRBs have closed the application process status. Candidates whose application forms have been accepted will be issued admit cards four days before the exam.

RRB NTPC 2020 recruitment: Know all about computer based test

  • There will be two computer-based tests for RRB NTPC. To appear for the next test, candidates need to qualify the first stage CBT.
  • For Station Master and Traffic Assistant posts, after the computer based tests, there will be a computer based aptitude test. The test comprises six test batteries. Candidates need to qualify for each test battery.
  • For Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper, after computer based tests there will be a typing skill test.
  • There will be no exam after the computer based tests for candidates who have applied to the posts of Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice posts. Such candidates will be called for document verification and medical examination.
  • Before final selection, candidates need to appear for document verification and medical examination.
  • There will be negative marking in computer based test. For every wrong answer, one-third marks will be deducted as a penalty.
  • Based on the performance of candidates in the first stage CBT, candidates 20 times the number of vacancies will be selected for second stage CBT.
  • Candidates eight times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the skill tests.
  • Any candidate found using unfair means or attempting to impersonate will be debarred from appearing in all the examinations conducted by RRBs/RRCs. They will also be debarred from getting any appointment in the railways.
