RRB NTPC, Group D exam schedule is under process; says Railway Minister

Union Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal, recently said that the scrutiny of around 2.4 crore applications of RRB NTPC and Group D exam has been completed and the schedule of the Computer-Based Test is under process.

“Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) had announced two recruitment notifications last year. As the scrutiny of applications is almost over, the CBT for eligible candidates, generation of Zonal Railway-wise merit lists, Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination will be conducted,” said the Railway Minister in the Parliament.

On the other hand, RRBs had invited tenders for Exam Conducting Agency (ECA). The private agency will conduct the conduct the Computer Based Test (CBT) of RRB NTPC exam as well as declare the result and panel candidates. The result of the tender will be declared on April 16. It is expected that the exam dates will be announced after the declaration of tender result.

According to the media reports, the exam conducting agency will be finalized by the last week of April 2020.

RRB NTPC exam is conducted for recruitment to the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Graduate and Under Graduate posts. The posts under this category are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.

RRB Group D recruitment is conducted for selected to the various posts such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant Pointsman in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various departments of Indian Railways.
