State Bank of India (SBI) has conducted SBI PO 2021 mains exam on January 2. The exam was conducted for candidates who have qualified the prelims exam. According to students, the overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The Reasoning section was moderate, Data Analysis & Interpretation section was moderate to difficult, English section was easy and the General Awareness section was moderate. The Descriptive paper was moderate.

According to SBI PO exam pattern, the mains exam comprised both objective and subjective type questions. The total marks allotted to the paper were 250. The paper carried a total of 157 questions. Candidates were asked to complete the paper within 3.5 hours.

SBI PO 2021 Mains Exam Analysis & Student Reaction

Shiksha visited one of the SBI PO 2021 mains exam centres in Noida to gather the feedback of candidates regarding the overall difficulty level of the paper. Read below the feedback shared by the candidates.

Nalini Arun said, “The Reasoning section of SBI PO 2021 mains exam was easier. The Maths section was a bit lengthy but was easy. The English section was doable. There were no questions from Computer Aptitude. The questions in GK were deep. The current affairs questions were asked from events that took place in the last four months.”

Dheeraj Singh said, “The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. I attempted around 16 to 17 questions in Reasoning, 13 questions in Maths, 16 questions in GK, and 24 questions in English. The Descriptive paper was easy and questions were asked from Essay Writing and Letter Writing.”

Vaishali Saxena said, “I found the paper to be tough. The questions in General Awareness were very in-depth. The English Language paper was easy. The Reasoning and Quant sections were moderate. In GA, questions were asked from different government schemes.”

Rahul said, “The overall paper was moderate. In GA, questions were asked mostly from Static and Current Affairs. The questions in GA were very in-depth. The Reasoning section was a bit lengthy. In Descriptive section, there were questions from Essay and Letter Writing. One of the topics in Essay Writing was privatisation of banks.”

Rohit Yadav said, “The overall paper was moderate. The Reasoning section was moderate to difficult. The Quant section was too moderate to difficult. The English section was easy. The GA section was also moderate and questions were like the pattern of UPSC exam. The Descriptive paper was easy. One of the topics in Essay Writing was the economic benefit of education. In Reasoning, questions were asked from Puzzles, Critical Reasoning, Syllogism, Blood Relation. In Quant, questions were asked from DI and there were no questions from Arithmetic. In English, questions were asked from Reading Comprehension, Error Detection, Word Replacement, etc.”

Ankush said, “The Reasoning section was moderate. The DI was tough, and I attempted fewer questions. The English section was easy. The GA section was moderate.”
