SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2026 LIVE: Aug 2 Shift 1, 2, 3 & 4 Difficulty Level & Good Attempts

The State Bank of India successfully conducted the SBI PO 2026 prelims exam on August 1 and 2.

As per the feedback of the students, the SBI PO Prelims Shft 2 exam was Easy to Moderate.

Parallel Row- Around 5 questions
Year-based (Age)- Around 5 questions
Box-based and Variable (7 boxes)- Around 5 questions
Month & Date based puzzle - Around 5 questions

As per the feedback received from the students', the SBI PO Prelims exam of August 2 Shift 1 was Moderate.

As per the students review, Shift 4 overall difficulty level is Moderate to Difficult. 

According to the students' feedback, Questions in English were asked from:

•  Synonyms (Around 3 Question)
• Few questions were from Fillers
• Reading comprehension.
• Direct and indirect speech
• Para jumbles, cloze test
• word usage 
• Error detection, etc.

According to the students, questions were asked from 

• Data Interpretation
• Missing number series
• Tabular format.
• Around 2-3 questions were asked in the caselet Data Interpretation in tabular format. As per students' it was time consuming.
• Mixture, compound interest and simple interest

As per the feedback of the students; in Shift 3, Questions asked from the Reasoning section were from Floor and Flat variables. Box and variable questions, seating arrangement questions with mixed directions. Around 2 to 3 around 2-3 questions were asked from inequalities and meaningful sections, and pair formation.

The SBI PO prelims Shift 4 started. This is the last shift of the day. It will be concluded at 5:30 PM.

As per the feedback received from the students' the 3rd shift of SBI PO Prelims exam overall difficulty level is moderate to difficult. Mainly the Reasoning section in which puzzles with variables were asked.

In SBI PO Shift 2 of Prelims exam, questions from quants were asked from Bar Graph and Data Interpretation section. Total questions from this section asked were 5-6. Arithmetic questions asked were from percentage, ratio, partnership, etc. Questions on age, missing number series, profit and loss and mixture were also asked.

According to the response of the students, around 25 questions in the Reasoning were asked from the puzzle part, few questions from blood relation topic, number based topic, month based. No questions were asked from syllogism, inequalities, etc.

As per the feedback received from the students, Shift 2 was Moderate. Quantitative section was easy as compared to the reasoning sections, questions on age, missing number series, profit and loss and mixture were also asked.

The SBI PO prelims exam Shift 3 started at 2 PM. It will conclude at 3 PM.

Reading comprehension topics was related to photography which is based on exhibition and other questions were asked from Vocabulary section. Synonyms questions were asked, 5 to 6 questions were asked from Parajumbles, 2 to 3 from word replacement. word replacement also asked, 3-4  were asked from Double Fillers, 5-7 questions from cloze tests were asked, questions from error detection was also asked.

As per the feedback received from the students, SBI PO Prelims 2026 Shift 1 total number of good attempts are mentioned below:
English: 25-30 Questions out of 40 total questions
Quantitative Aptitude: 19-20 questions out of 30 questions. 
Reasoning: 22-25 questions out of 30 questions.

As per the feedback of the students, the overall difficulty level of the SBI PO Prleims exam is Moderate to Difficult.

• Candidates should reach the exam centre before reporting time.

• Verify the adress of the centre in advance.

• Carry only permitted documents.

• Follow all instructions issued by invigilators.

• Occupy only allotted seat.

• Avoid carrying prohibited electronic gadgets or study materials inside exam hall.

• Candidates can't use calculators, books, notebooks or written notes, cell phones or any other electronic device during the examination.
• Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair pin, hair band, belt, cap, watch/wrist watch, camera, Any metallic item also can't be carried
• Candidates should carry printed copy of SBI PO Prelims Admit Card, original photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID or Driving Licence) and recent passport-size photographs, if mentioned in admit card instructions, etc.
