SSC CGL 2023 Age Limit: Aspirants storm twitter, demand Commission to revise age cut off date

SSC CGL 2023 Age Limit Issue: Amid the ongoing protest by various aspirants to revise the age cut-off date in the SSC CGL 2023 exam, a number of candidates are now flooding the social media handles to raise their issues. Candidates have been holding a protest outside the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for some time now. Candidates have raised their concerns regarding the upper age limit that has been fixed for SSC CGL Exam 2023 in its notification. The Commission has announced the cutoff date for counting of age August 1 from earlier January 1, 2023.

 
The Commission has recently announced the job notification under the SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 for a total of 7500 various Group B and Group C posts in different ministries and departments. In the new notification, the Commission has mentioned the age limit for the cut-off date as on August 1, 2023, for various posts. Earlier, the age limit cutoff date was January 1, 2023. According to the SSC CGL notification, candidates between the age bracket of 18 and 32 are eligible to apply and the age limit will be calculated as on August 1, 2023, instead of January 1, 2023.
 
Soon after the notification candidates started urging the Central Government to change the age of reckoning from August 1 to January 1, 2023. It is noted that a total of 7500 Group B/C posts will be filled through the SSC CGL Recruitment 2023 drive carried out by SSC in different ministries and departments of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies.
 
According to the detailed notice released by SSC, different age group/limit has been required for various posts. The Commission has also released the details regarding the permissible relaxation in upper age limit and category-codes for claiming age relaxation.
